Outer Nebula Drifter reperformed with Adrian McCleland (Waikato-Tainui). First created for the exhibition Telecom Prospect in 2004, the work is a mash-up of audio and video samples, edited live in the gallery that reflects on, and highlights, the shifting nature of digital video content in our contemporary media world while using the classic Western & Sci-fi film narrative to critique colonisation.
McCleland mixed footage from classic westerns, Gillam mixed sci-fi footage. Hansen performed the accompanying audio track.
